space Shirley Grimes – vocals, acting

Born and raised in Ireland, Shirley Grimes moved to Switzerland at the age of 19. A year later she published her debut album «Songs of Seas and Ferries». The critical acclaim that she received was more than she had hoped for. Since then, Shirley has written, produced or co-produced 5 further albums, each one moving her musically a little closer to her traditional Irish roots. She has toured as support act for performers such as Van Morrison, Bonnie Riatt and Stephan Eicher and appeared as guest vocalist on many Albums including the Lovebugs 'Naked' and Simon Ho's 'if'. Furthermore she is a board member of «Musikschaffende Schweiz» and mother of two children. Shirley Grimes lives in Berne.

space Rob Kloet – percussion, acting

Rob Kloet is drummer and co-founder of the Dutch pop band NITS, which made its breakthrough in Europe in 1987 with «In the Dutch Mountains». Simultaneously he regularly works on projects in conjunction with visual arts or literature. Rob Kloet is a master of reduction, tending to the percussive way of playing and expertly adding onomatopoetic highlights. 2007 he brought out the solo album «Drum-set with Dog», which was inspired by drawings by artist Helen Frik. His solo performance «Drums in een heel klein huisje» was acclaimed at festivals in Holland. In Switzerland he regularly works with musicians such as Simon Ho, Oli Hartung and Fritz Hauser. The music journal «Slagwerkkrant» nominated him this year as the «All-time-favorit». Rob Kloet lives in Amsterdam.

space Stefan Kollmuss – acting, vocals

Stefan Kollmuss discovered the theatre rather late (at the age of 20) and rather by accident, but was awarded an actor’s bursary in Ireland almost instantly. After two years of training in Dublin and a two-year stay in Los Angeles he returned to Europe. Since then he has appeared in more than 60 features and short films abroad and in Switzerland (among others «Spital in Angst», «S’Isch mer alles ei Ding» and «Aime ton Père» with Gérard Dépardieu). On stage he is known from the Swiss premiere of Falk Richter’s «Gott ist ein DJ» and «Un Tapis Rouge pour Sophie T.» by Nelly Büttikofer as well as the current solo pieces «Franziskus – Gaukler Gottes» by Dario Fo (where he plays more than 30 different parts) and «Traumjobs» by Jon von Düffel. Stefan Kollmuss lives in Zürich.

space Hannes Glarner – stage director
(b. 1960 in Zurich)
From 1988 to 1997 Hannes Glarner was employed at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, first as assistant director and dramaturg, later as an actor. He went on to work freelance both as director and actor at various theatres such as the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Theater Basel. From 1993 to 1995 he created projects and (from 1994) wrote plays for the Theater Neumarkt in Zurich, while also directing radio plays for Swiss Radio DRS. He is co-founder of the off-theatre group ‹The Lucky Artist Company› and has done experimental theatre with, among others, the Vaudeville-Theater, the TiF-Ensemble, the Theater N.A.G.U.A.L and Vroom. The production «InSekten» earned him an invitation to the Berliner Theatertreffen. He was nominated three times for the Prix Europa, was awarded the Prix Suisse and the Prix Italia, as well as the choreography prize at the Roma Teatro festival. Hannes Glarner lives in Zurich.

space Martin Burkhardt – light and sound

Martin Burkhardt trained as an electronics engineer, as well as sound and lighting engineer and movie operator. He is co-founder and co-director of the Theater Ticino in Wädenswil, where he has been engaged since 1984. Formerly a sound engineer at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, he has been working since 1991 as a freelance theatre technician for countless productions in theatre, music, radio drama and film, among them productions by the theatre company ‹Il Soggetto›, the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, Theater Rigiblick, Swiss Radio DRS1, as well as by Buschi Luginbühl, Dani Fueter, Ruedi Häusermann, Christoph Baumann, Fredi Murer, Mischa Käser. On top of all this, he is chief technician at the theatre festival Blickfelder in Zurich, GNOM Baden and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Zurich. Martin Burkhardt lives in Wädenswil ZH.

space Rudolf Jost – costumes

Rudolf Jost trained as a dress maker in Berne und went on to qualify as a fashion designer at the College of Arts and Design in Basle. He then worked as an assistant to costume design at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Since 1996 Rudolf Jost has been a freelance costume designer for drama, opera and film at home and abroad. The care taken in his designs as well as Rudolf Jost’s eloquent style soon impacted on the theatre world. Among others he has worked at the Theater Neumarkt in Zürich, the Luzerner Theater, the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Salzburg Festival, the State Theatre at Maribor and the Gare du Nord in Basle. Rudolf Jost runs an atelier for costumes und other textile products in Zürich. It is well known for excellent craftsmanship and high standards of design. Rudolf Jost lives in Zürich.

Beda Senn is the son of Fritz Senn, the Joyce expert and director of the Zurich James Joyce Foundation. Since 2006 Beda Senn has been head of music consulting at Swiss television SRF. Even before his present appointment he has worked as a music consultant: conception and programming for diverse radio stations, music editing of TV features, sound design and consulting for events in fashion and dance. As «Culturator» and president of the society KataKULT Beda Senn frames productions that are out of the ordinary, by convening different varieties of the arts at an unexpected place. Among his previous projects are «Morels letzter Sommer», the «Symphonie der Wasserfälle» in the Hotel Maderanertal (1995-2011), and «Symphonie der Zwischenfälle». Beda Senn lives in Zurich.

A graduate in cultural management and a PR editor, Patricia Umbricht has been managing director of Cultact - Giuliani Kulturbüro since June 2010. Prior to this engagement, she has been the general manager of the off theatre La Cappella in Berne for one and a half years. She has collaborated (and still does) with a number of artists, such as Balthasar Streiff, Markus Schönholzer, Corin Curschellas, Urs Wehrli, Brigitta Schrepfer and Pippo Pollina (booking, fundraising and media relations). She has also worked as production manager for the Free Opera Company, for «Morels letzter Sommer» and many other projects. On top of all this, she arranges the music program for the Kulturraum Thalwil. Patricia Umbricht lives in Zurich.
